Kit espaciador de sobrealimentador fenólico para Audi 3.0L SC
Este kit de espaciadores es para Audi B8 S4/S5s con motor 3.0L Supercharged. Eleva el SC 3/4" de pulgada. Esto despeja (apenas) el capó con un cuerpo de aceleración y un tubo APR Ultracharger.
El kit consta de dos espaciadores con juntas tóricas, espárragos/arandelas/tuercas más largas para reemplazar los pernos originales y un adaptador para alargar la conexión del separador de aceite a la parte inferior del SC.
No se incluye una correa ya que hay demasiadas configuraciones con poleas de diferentes tamaños. Como referencia, nuestro vehículo de prueba funciona con poleas 193/57,75 y con los espaciadores utiliza una correa de 53,6" de largo.
Mientras el sobrealimentador está apagado, es un buen momento para limpiar las válvulas de admisión con este kit .
La instalación toma unas pocas horas como la mayoría (más corta una vez que uno ha tenido el SC apagado tantas veces como nosotros). Los espaciadores se colocan encima de los sellos de empaque de fábrica y se atornillan como se muestra con los pernos provistos. El propio SC se sella contra las juntas tóricas provistas. Recomendamos un poco de grasa de litio blanca al instalar las juntas tóricas. También coloque la extensión del separador antes de volver a instalar el SC.
Los espaciadores aislantes son un elemento de rendimiento comprobado, ya que bloquean parte del calor extremo generado por el motor desde la cámara de admisión/supercargador/cuerpo del acelerador para ayudar a proporcionar una temperatura del aire más fría y constante, lo que da como resultado una mejor potencia. Todos nuestros espaciadores ahora están hechos de Garolite G-11 (para una resistencia química superior y resistencia al calor/aislamiento), por lo que el color será verde claro cuando se envíen. This spacer works in the vehicles listed and helps reduce the heat of the air coming into the engine via reducing thermal conduction, by being a heat insulator. Engines get very hot and this heat transfers through all metal physically connected to it. These spacers can make a noticeable difference in that heat transfer, allowing the incoming air to stay closer to ambient (or below in certain forced-induction setups), since they are installed between the engines and parts of the intake.
Insulating spacers have been around for decades and are proven to help, as they block some of the extreme heat generated by the engine from the intake plenum/supercharger/throttle body to help provide a cooler and more consistent air temperature, which results in better power.
Modern engines run extremely hot for emissions reasons and can greatly benefit from spacers. All of our spacers are now made out of Garolite G-10 (for superior chemical resistance and heat resistance / insulation), so the color will be light green as shipped. Beware of cheaper spacers than may not withstand the extreme conditions under the hood of modern vehicles or block as much heat transfer.
Since this spacer can fit many combinations (vehicles, makes, and engines), please verify that there will not be any clearance problems arising from moving intake or throttle body out the thickness of the spacer. The best decrease in temperatures will come from using the thickest spacer that the vehicle can fit.
Some spacers may cause alignment issues of other items on or around the engine. Please ensure that this spacer will not cause any issues before purchasing.
Adding a spacer may necessitate the need for longer bolts. Unless specifically stated, these are not included with the spacer.
We recommend buying an extra stock gasket from your local parts store, and sandwiching the spacer between two stock gaskets. RTV or equivalent sealant can also be used (especially on narrow, thin spacers).
If an OEM gasket is not available, we can cut paper gaskets to match the spacer.
