Vehicle Fitment Pro Privacy Policy

Vehicle Fitment Pro is a Shopify app that helps merchants manage vehicle fitment data, show product compatibility information, and display vehicle-based product recommendations on their storefront.

Information we collect

When a merchant installs or uses Vehicle Fitment Pro, the app may access and store information needed to provide its features, including:

- Shopify store domain
- Shopify app installation and session information
- Product handles, product IDs, and product references
- Vehicle fitment data entered or uploaded by the merchant, such as year, make, model, engine, trim, and related product assignments
- App settings and configuration data
- Basic technical logs needed for security, troubleshooting, and reliability

Vehicle Fitment Pro does not intentionally collect shopper names, email addresses, payment information, shipping addresses, billing addresses, or other protected customer data.

How we use information

We use merchant store data only to provide and maintain the app, including:

- Managing vehicle fitment records
- Connecting products to vehicle compatibility data
- Powering storefront vehicle search
- Displaying product compatibility tables
- Displaying same-vehicle related product recommendations
- Troubleshooting app performance and support issues
- Maintaining app security and reliability

Data sharing

We do not sell merchant or customer data. We do not share merchant data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

Data may be processed by service providers used to operate the app, such as hosting, database, logging, and infrastructure providers. These providers are used only to operate and support the app.

Data retention

Vehicle fitment data and app configuration data are retained while the app is installed and used by the merchant. If a merchant uninstalls the app, app access is revoked. Merchants may contact us to request deletion of stored app data associated with their store.

Storefront behavior

Vehicle Fitment Pro may store a shopper’s selected vehicle in the shopper’s browser so the storefront can remember the selected vehicle while browsing the store. This information is used only to improve the storefront fitment experience.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect app data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect merchant data from unauthorized access or misuse.

Merchant control

Merchants control the fitment data they upload, edit, export, or delete in the app. Merchants may remove app blocks from their Shopify theme at any time.
