The Porsche engine found vehicles listed have a Rear Main Seal "RMS" to seal the back end of the crankshaft (the end the connects to the transmission). The problem that many people have is how to properly install the new seal, so that it won’t leak again. Porsche has updated the seal itself and the recommended installation depth. This tool works for the listed vehicles and the seal part number is 0PB-105-249. We recommend only purchasing an original Porsche seal as it is reasonably priced. But factory Porsche tools are not usually cost effective.
This is not the Porsche OEM tool, but with our experience works perfectly for this application. It is made of Nylon so that is will not scratch the crankshaft or seal.
